Toy Chest

My daughter needed a new toy box for a really long time. I found this at the local thrift store and knew that I could make something that she will love!!! She loves pink a lot and a while a go I made some letters to go on her wall and they were pink and brown. I then search for the perfect fabric and came across Fabric.com and found the perfect fabric to cover the toy box. It took some time getting the fabric but I think it was worth getting the right fabric. So painted the inside and covered the box and there you have it!

Wing Chair

This has been a month in the making!!!! When I first started this project I didn't know that I was going to run into problems. Many lessons learned but I'm finally pleased with the results. So true story....took 9 hours to take off all of the original fabric and it took a total of 3 days stretched out in a 3 week period to finish. make sense?
Lesson one learned: listen to other people that have reupholstered! I read a post from All Things Thrifty about leaving the original fabric on the arms of the chair. I however took mine off and had a WONDERFUL time trying to get it back one. again, lesson learned. Next came the cushion seat. I swear that was going to be the death of me. But I finally got it taken care of and I think it looks pretty good. So some wonderful comments would be soooooo appreciated!!! Thank you! now enjoy the fruits of my labor!

Armoire

I did this project for one of my friends. She wanted her dresser to have a update, modern feel and wanted it to match some green she had in the room. So, I decided to do the dresser in two tones and distress the top coat so the green would show through. It was a lot of work but I'm pleased with the results. The after pictures don't have the handles because we hadn't decided on one. I will post the after picture with the handles on.
